Melbourne based producer Fractures burst onto the scene out of nowhere with his debut single 'Twisted'. With a fresh, spacious and broody sound, 'Twisted' quickly captured the interest of the internet. The track received over 200 000 plays on soundcloud.com. This was probably helped by the fact that the track was picked up by 21 hypem.com blogs.
It just goes to show that if you can produce and excellent song with the right sound and at the right moment all you need is the internet to work it's magic. Major label deal? Not required.
Ironically after this wave of success fractures (whose real name is Mark Zito) fell and fractured a neck vertebrae just days before his first ever performance. Unperturbed, Zito made a full recovery and will be making an appearance at Byron Bay's Splendour In The Grass in July 2014.
